Position Description Redis Data Engineer will be responsible for providing dependable and timely resolution for complex software issues related to Redis and Redis Enterprise technology. you?ll also be responsible for designing, building, running, and maintaining our Redis platform offering. As a technical expert, you are expected to act as a point of contact for challenging support cases and become part of the team who implements distributed caching solutions for customers. Our ideal candidate has great interpersonal skills, as the role requires you to maintain close relationships with customers, fellow team members and vendor.


We are looking for colleagues with strong sense of ownership and ability to drive solutions. The role is primarily responsible to automate the existing process and bring new ideas and innovation. The candidate is expected to code, design HA and DR, interact with development teams, interact with vendor and secure Redis platform. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to work with without or minimal supervision.

Responsibilities* Create a highly reliable Redis offering that can be leveraged by different business use cases.* Cluster\Scaling\Replication maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes to the Redis cluster.* Work with operations to deploy Redis updates, patches and version upgrades when required* Performing the following operational tasks:o Capacity planning: Aligning with the systems engineering team to propose and deploy new hardware and software environments required to ensure scalability and reliabilityo Back-up/recovery processeso Run maintenance tasks (e.g. upgrades)o Applying security patcheso Monitoring performance of serviceso Build tools, services, frameworks and interfaces to enable development teams to monitor, manage and operate code in production.* Willingness to investigate and troubleshoot issues and make recommendations to improve system performance* Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs along with designing for future challenges* Secure the platform, configure authentication and authorization.* Coordinate with other teams, business and vendors as necessary.* Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team.


Required Skills* B.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Systems 4-6 years of experience in In-memory data structure store administration with an emphasis on Redis* Operational and administration experience with one of more technologies in a Cloud/SaaS environment is a plus:* Message queues such as Kafka* NoSQL databases such as MongoDB* Search and analytics engines such as Elasticsearch* Experience performing system administration tasks on Linux and shell scripting* Experience creating Continuous Integration pipelines (e.g. Team city, Concourse, Jenkins)* Strong development/scripting skills using Python/Shell.* Strong technical background with excellent problem solving and multitasking skills* Proficiency in communication and presentation, both written and verbal (in English)Desired skills* Prior experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift* Good knowledge on Azure and Azure DevOps* Experience working on Agile/DevOps* Experience in Wealth Management or a similar Financial environment* Experience in working on Cloud native architecture* Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture* Improve existing software* Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)* Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
